Full edit - blurring backgrounds

This video will show you how to put the background into a state of mood and not detail. This shot was in a small shed with almost no room and no way for the model to be very far up front from the background clutter. That puts her in the same depth of field as the clutter. I could have shot lower fStop but I wanted her pretty clear in the whole image.

Think about this too. Once you have the selected area ready to blur. You could actually do anything you want to it. Make it B&W, paint it out, just about anything.
