Greetings art peeps!
Well, I’d have to say the last 7 days have been eventful, without a doubt. I taught a 1-on-1 class to a gentleman from Arkansas. Then Elley came over the weekend to shoot with several photographers. Both pretty creatively exhaustive days. I’d do it all next week. Wait! I am. This weekend is another 1-on-1 class, but with two photographers. BTW, if you would like to take a two-day class from me, it is $495, and if you bring another photographer, it’s only $695. Splitting that is a nice way to go, and you have a friend who may remember something that the other missed.
I’m finding that my tendency to dig through old shoots and find new art has changed just a bit. I now spend more time on that shoot and often come out a few hours later with 8-10 new edits. And, of course, if they weren’t going to produce some wonderful art, I would move on. Each week, I’m expecting 5-10 images from my mining efforts. It is actually quite fun to find new opportunities for art.
So, I mentioned last week that I was getting a cat. She’s here, and she’s still working past her fear of a new home and hoomon. She’s in hiding much of the time, but my security cameras have caught her roaming the place when we are sleeping. And paw prints on my laptop are a dead giveaway. I’m pleased to report she is putting nice dents in her food and lumps in her litter. And she totally loves getting brushed. And I have plenty of catnip, so I am also her dealer. I don’t charge her since she has no pockets.
So, she will likely get used to this home just days before we drag her to the summer home, and it starts all over again. Except she knows me now, so that should help. Coyotes howling won’t be a popular sound for her. But she’s a totally indoor cat, so she should be safe.
And as always, feel free to comment, ask questions, or even make suggestions. I’m at ai7r@mac.com
