This week in the life…
Happy Wednesday!!
I’m a bit shocked that this is the 25th Museletter. I started it on a whim while we were visiting California one day. That was a half a year ago now. If you are new to the Museletter, or you missed some, they are all available on the site menu. And thank you!!
Well, first week back from England that I wasn’t suffering jet lag and any kind of routine. Had a few new shoots with a few regulars and all went well. So well, that this week I’m not doing the second gallery of older art. There are over 30 new images to look over. Please take your time and feel free to tell me what you think in the form below.
For this week’s before and after I will pick on Stephanie. I love working with her. Typical sweetheart with big eyes. And in this case, I have a strong fetish for bangs and brunette bobs. A little long for a true bob but close enough for me.
You might notice in the finished image I turned that beautiful black hair to red, to match her outfit. It was a hard choice to make, but I forced myself.
You’ll see a couple new ones of Aurora too. A year ago she was the model for a student who flew in from Louisiana for a two day session. He took most of the pictures and I found them on my computer since I was showing him how to organize and sort his images from each shoot. I saw some amazing images he’d taken during the class. So, the lighting was mine at least. He gave me permission to edit a few. Typically I would not edit someone else’s shots because the lighting is not workable with my style. No excuse here. And I think they came out pretty well.
Speaking of those of Aurora, and the one of Stephanie here, I think I’ve found a new look (to me) that I love. A little more contrast and a bit grainy and rough around the edges. The light is surreal in them. And I always love surreal anything. So, I expect you’ll see a lot more of this style. Twice now the images have been compared to a photograph in the style of Vargas and that is an honor indeed.
