Hey everyone!
It’s been a fun week with a few shoots with people I’ve not worked with before. So many fun and creative people on this planet. (unlike the one I’m from)
The before and after set for this week is pretty awesome I think. It shows what can, indeed, be done with Photoshop. The lower picture was taken as Ariana was posing for another photographer who I was teaching lighting to. And the light on her was just the room light and the modeling light on the flash. I didn’t think it was a usable image. I was just shooting for fun. Then I uploaded what was in my camera and set a personal goal to see what I could pull from the image…make it art.
So, yes, that’s actually all her hair. I brought the contrast out so I could see the detail, then poofed it up. Then I grabbed the hair on her left side and put a copy of it on her head and on her back. After some creative blending in, adding the right shadow on the hair on her back…there you go!
I added some lighting highlights to her eyes and lips, and of course her hair. With Ariana there isn’t much you can do to make her more beautiful than she comes. Makes my job easy.
The UK/Ireland trip! (May 24 - June 21)
I spent an entire day booking B&Bs and planning our 28 days across the pond. When things show up, like full monthly passes for the rail in the UK, it starts being real. It’s going to be great fun and I hope to bring a lot of the art of the English and Irish countryside to you all. Of course, if I run across a few lads or lassies who need their pictures taken I will certainly share those. It’s exciting to finally do something I’ve wanted to do for years and years. I encourage all of you to find something fun on your bucket list and check it off. Life it to short to just be….DO!!

Every week I do this Wednesday thing I’m shocked. I am faced with just how many edits I’ve done in just a week. I love it and can’t go long without editing something. I get the shakes. So, here is a mish mash of images, newly shot and some from past shoots. I really need to stop shooting and just edit all the work sitting there waiting for my attention. Enjoy! And feel free to let me know if you see something you really like.

If you look up “Oh yeah! Watch me!” in the dictionary you’ll find this young lady. She is undoubtedly the life of every party. She’s also the one most likely to have spiked the punch I’m thinking. She’s always smiles and just all around fun. I certainly don’t need to point out she’s gorgeous.
