Greetings!

Welcome to the beginning of summer. According to the forecast, it is starting to heat up out there. It’s in the mid-90s already, and that has me looking at the calendar to see when to schedule our semi-move up to Bonita and the cooler, cleaner air. And no one is racing up and down the streets at 2 a.m. Cool nights and coyotes baying from time to time. It's a tough life, but we push forward.

I referenced that I would not be home to provide a new issue of this rag because we’d be traveling. Well, we came home early, and here I am, writing a fresh collection of jibberish

so you can look at the pictures and say you are reading the articles. (grin). Can you call a web publication a ‘rag’? Why not?

I wasn’t able to edit much because of the trip, so the collection of art in this issue will be from the massive archives, and I’ll mix it up. I have a lot of fun searching for content because it never fails to dredge up beautiful images I had forgotten about. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do.

May 11th is approaching quickly, and our third annual shoot/workshop with Elley at the studio home in Mesa. As I expected, it has only a few spots left and I expect it will be a full session. Elley has new outfits that will prove to be wonderful to shoot, and I’m sure there will be some sets without outfits. Five hours is exhaustingly fabulous fun.

On the topic of AI, I heard a story that really struck me. It appears that the AI learning engines are running out of content to learn from. A majority of the internet is a waste of time, with pictures of lunches and scantily clad humans and political BS, so they are at a loss for training their babies. Yes, they found the sign that says they have reached the end of the internet and it wasn’t enough to teach a machine how to be conscious. I can understand that. The second problem is that the learning engines are starting to gobble up content that other AI has created. You can imagine how that messes things up. So, other than our applications becoming smarter about what we need from them, we can mark ourselves safe from Skynet chrome robots for the distant future. At least all of my future.

Meanwhile, enjoy this art and stay happy and healthy. Take some walks, they are free after all, and hug all of your relatives. Hugs are also free for the most part. Some come with restraining orders, so watch out for those. If you don’t know their name, probably not okay to just walk up and hug them.

And, if you are a photographer and want to attend our class, there are only TWO spots left. Check it out!!

I support an organization called Model Society. So many wonderful artists to inspire me. Check out their magazine!

And, we have a new photography class scheduled for May 11th!! It will be the third annual natural light class with Elley as the model. I’ll be adding a single light to the mix this year and Elley will have some new and unique outfits. Last year a good number of people who attended had come to the first one. They knew just how much fun it is. After five hours of shooting everyone was happy and exhausted.

Check it out!!
