It’s been an interesting week. Last weekend I had the pleasure of meeting and teaching a couple for the weekend. So much passion and thirst for knowledge. I LOVE that. And they were SO much fun. Shot a couple of my best models for the class and spent a lot of time editing.

Two more classes in the coming week and more in the works. I’m kinda’ shocked that I never saw the training as an aspect to my photography/art when I started. Talk about a pleasant surprise. And then the online training site is doing well too. Whew! It is a lot of work, but a work of love.

Today I sit fairly patiently awaiting a whole new camera system. I’m sure next week’s newsletter will have more about it, but it’s the new Canon EOS R mirrorless camera system. The design is very different from what I’m used to. It’s smaller, although the lenses are still massive. That will forever be the difference between cell phones and pro cameras. Just so much quality you can get from the tiny lens on a phone. Pretty darned good of course, but give me a nice 2” across lens anytime. I expect next weeks letter will also have a lot of images from the new camera too. Exciting. Especially for this old brain to learn new things.

Well, look what showed up! (grin) And so far I love it!

On to some art!!

And some art never before seem since I don’t post the ‘tawdry’ work on social media anymore.

Shameless ad

Remember, if you see some art you would like on your wall, or just on your phone in high res, let me know. I do sell both prints (up to 17”x22”) and digital copies for your pads and phones. Check it out!

Special discount for prints for my subscribers!! Use the code ‘davesnewsletters’ and get 50% off any purchases of prints or digital images on the site. And if you want one that isn’t there, let me know and I’ll do a special over for you!

And I provide 1on1 photography training as well as online training. And group sessions.

Edits from this week.

Again I had a lot of various shoots that I edited this week. Some old shoots and some more recent. I have had no shoots for a while now, but one each day for the next 3 days so new material to work on.

So, here is a flood of last week’s edits. I hope you enjoy them.

Cassandra - from our many past shoots (never enough)

When I first met Cassandra years ago in Tucson she was very quiet and was the muse for a friend I was shooting with. I saw the beauty and potential in this young lady and she is rocking her life big time. The only part she’s slacking on is shooting more beauty with me. (grin) Enjoy!
