This week in the life…
Greetings all!
Well now. I’d call this dedication. We had a nice storm today up here at Bonita around 2pm. Some nice rain, not the inches we’d like, but beggars, etc. Lots of lightning and as happens at least once a summer, it took out our power…for the whole community. We are fed by two old sets of lines and both seem dead. The estimates were 6pm. I had been working on the Museletter when the computer, and community, went dark.
Well, I figured I could get it done if the power came on by 6pm. Then a message said 9pm. The last one said midnight. Fortunatly it’s under 80 degrees up here or we’d be hurting.
So, as Linda and I sit here in my office/radio room, there is a Honda generator running outside and we have a light, router, and computers going. So, this issue is gas powered I guess.
As promised, there is a lot of new art this time around. And I enjoyed every second of the editing. I’ve missed it with all of the other chores around here.
Over the last couple weeks Linda and I have been cutting out the love grass and trimming trees and really making the lot as fire safe as possible. A couple more weeks to go and every morning for about 3 hours while it’s cool out. We’ll be done before we know it. The next few days will be chipper time for me. I now have ear protection and that’s all I was waiting for.
Of course, NOW the repair or replacement of the whole house Genrac generator is much higher on the list of things to complete. Up there with getting the house painted and some wood rot repaired. All in the works. If you are a meganic or electrician and would like to help with the generator, let me know. I do pay for skills and talent.
I’m also looking for a graphic designer to help me with a new kick ass logo.
So, even without power, here you go. Wednesday and on time!!
