This week in the life…

Greetings all!

Good Wednesday to you all! I hope your chewing gum didn’t loose it’s flavor while stuck to the bed post last night. And if it did, I hope that was the worst thing to happen to you.

It’s been a fun, relaxing, and exciting week. I shot with a model a few days ago here at Bonita and spent a day shooting behind the scenes of a Western staring Elley. (right) That was different and a nice break. Yes, being retired can get busy where you need a diversion from time to time.

In the gallery you’ll find the usual color and B&W of many of the images. I still see them as a different art form. They certinaly have their own flavor. One with Elley in the doorway is fairly different. I included the before and after on that one. You’ll see the original was shot during the day, yet the finished one looks like an evening shot. Adding a moon helps. As always, Elley pulls it off perfectly.

There are two galleries this week. The first is my work for the week with very few fillers from the past. The second is Nikee Lynn (@themodelnikeelynn on IG). She has our work for sale so I thought I would promote it for her. She came and shot with me after us talking for years and never really working together. Finally. She pushed the limits as you’ll see from the poses she did. I was like OUCH through the whole shoot. If you would like some art for your wall, in B&W or color, she has both of each. And like a lot of the population lately, she could use the funds. She’s taking care of her ailing mother. So give her a shout.

And, this coming weekend I’ll be working with Alanna again. I’ve lost count how many times we’ve worked together or gone on some trip and shot. I think I met her when she was a flittery 19 year old and now she’s a mamma of a beautiful little boy. Still a bit flittery but hey, I didn’t say that was bad. I’ve known her long enough to have seen her baby face turn into a real beauty. I think motherhood has been good for her in many respects. So, she’ll be fun to work with again. She’s been to Bonita before but it was years ago.

And then, mid week next week we have Lyssa coming up for a few days. She and I have shot some fine art nudes in the past that are outstanding art. I think she’s planning to hang out and keep us company for a couple nights at least. And maybe do some brush clearing with us. Just the company is all we expect though. She’s such a sweetie with an amazingly wonderful crude sense of humor. The very best kind.

So, my shooting is considerably less frequent than it has been in the past. But while being careful and doing most of it in the forest, it’s nice to get creative from time to time. The less you do something you love, the more each time is cherished.

So, enjoy the art this week and consider purchasing some images from Nikee. She has worked with some renouned photographers so she has more art than just what we’ve created.

Until next week!
