This week in the life…
Greetings!
Well, we are certainly in interesting times. I kinda’ feel like a Martian who invaded Earth and I’m about to learn the potency of the germ. Didn’t see that with my telescope, crap! (can you imagine me editing with little suction cups on the ends of my fingers?)
Linda and I are at what I now call the Bonita Bunker with plenty of food and TP and images to edit. So, we are good. I hope you all are finding your way during this difficult time. We will all come out the other side with a different frame of mind.
Last weekend we ventured down to the valley for some food and to be there as they replaced our roof. They did a wonderful job. And we went to our grocery store not knowing what we’d find since we’d already been gone for 3 weeks. Other than you could feel the tension in the air with the other shoppers, everyone was polite and helpful…from a distance. And other than paper products, we found a lot of what we wanted. We’d also ordered food online the Wednesday before, and they delivered it on Saturday evening. For some reason Fry’s thought there was some kind of delivery problem because a few days later we received an email saying they were sorry for any inconvienence and that the order was ‘on them’ as a way to make up for it. Well, I’m not going to argue with a $300 food bill I don’t have to pay. ;)
I’ve been very worried about a lot of the people I have worked with as models. Many were not nearly in a position to handle this kind of financial burden. I hope it doesn’t last and that they have family and friends to help as needed.
Here I spend my days editing, working on electronics projects, learning CAD, talking with other folks all over the US on the ham radio, and eating Linda’s wonderful meals. Happy and warm. Until next week…
