This week in the life…

Greetings!!

This was a busy week for editing, and one epic shoot on location. And it was more than likely my last shoot of the year. One other possibly, but I’m leaving the stress of catching this virus to others. We’ve had two close calls already. Maybe we are being a little selfish (life would be easier if we were little shell fish), but the possibility of long term health problems, when we can avoid it easily enough, would be regrettable. If I’m going to have regrets, I want them to be ones that bring at least a small smile to my face.

The shoot with Ariana on location was an epic few hours. The location is one I’ve shot in many times, so I knew what options I had. That makes it fairly smooth and quick. The location is a beautiful home in Apache Junction that is available for rent for shoots. They sanitized the areas we planned to shoot in and we had total privacy. Of course, Linda and I still wore masks and we all kept our distance. The image in the banner above was from that location.

My migration to the new ‘hands on’ tablet, with the screen built in, has been far smoother than I would have expected. I tried editing with my old tablet the other day and I just couldn’t. So I guess I’m stuck with this new fun way of doing it. I’ve committed to a point where I gave my grandkids the new pair of 32” curved monitors I had and now it’s just my laptop and this XP-PEN screen. And I’m very happy. Today I’m going to set it up so I can do a stand up desk situation for it.

This week, I’ve included a few behind the scenes images along side the finished product. That’s always fun to see. It’s not exactly showing how we get the rabbit out of the hat, but still fun.

And this week I’ve compiled behind the scenes video from five shoots I’ve done this year. I hope to include those into one or more videos showing the activity of the shoot, and then merge the finished stills from each set for the ultimate BTS fun. That can be a pretty big project, but well worth the time spent.

Linda and I are endeavoring to eat healthier. A few evenings ago, a good friend and model, actually took time out of her evening to go shopping for us. She’s SO sweet. She’s a super knowledgeable health food nut, so now our fridge is markedly greener inside. And we have yet a few more pills to take to supplement our diet. Every time we try this, we adopt a few new changes in what we eat, and it has made an impact out our health.

You all stay safe and enjoy the art.
