This week in the life…
Greetings all!
Well, I can’t say it’s been a totally quiet week up here this last week. Other than some serious editing, I had an 8 hour shoot with a couple of favorites. Nikole and Gary. (right) Both are pretty good actors as they look like they seriously and biblically get along very well. They follow direction well, and we get some wonderful images. And they are friends. That’s part of the fun of the magic. What you see is rarely reality in my art. That’s never the goal. Other than one picture, he has jeans on the whole time. (bubble popped)
It’s surprising, but that shoot a few days ago with those two were the start of a rush. Today and tomorrow I have shoots with people coming to Bonita Creek. Then on Friday I have shoots in the studio on Friday and Saturday. Then I rest for a week and then Linda and I are heading to visit good friends in Albuquerque, and wonderful photographers, and shoot in a studio there with some awesome models. Then a week after that I’ll be playing with Elley again at a working ranch. So, it’s still not AS busy as it was before the bug, but it’s driving me nutty to not have people to talk with from time to time. Other than my beautiful wife of course.
Other than that, it has been pretty relaxing up here. It is certainly starting to sputter a little fall chill in the evenings. Nice but chilly. Some hiking and some drone flying. And, of course, some ham radioing.
This week Marcela is our feature and she’s mixed in with some new edits. I’m excited to be working with her and Dania on Saturday. I’m not sure what we are going to create, but it’s sure to be beautiful. That is one great team to work with. And plenty of new edits no question.
