This week in the life…
Happy Wednesday!!
Christmas is fast approaching. And no one has asked me what I want for Christmas. It’s just as well, because I have no idea what I would say. I have an amazing wife who lets me do my art, ham radios, and geek stuff until 1am. I have every toy I can think of that I’d want, and, well, I can take a nap any time I feel like it. (and sometimes I take one not by choice)
So, it was a fairly quiet week with just a couple shoots. Unlike the next week where there is one almost every day. Then some quiet time and a trip to Bonita Creek right after Christmas until next year. One shoot was with Elley Cat and Ziva Fey and today was with Yuni. Both were creative and fun and gave me plenty to edit from.
And if I didn’t have enough to edit, a good friend and fellow geek actually brought my lost drive back to life, at least long enough to get 6 or 7 lost shoots that didn’t have many edits done to them. Sooo, those are back in the rack to edit from.
I should probably take a year off from shooting and just edit.
Nah.
So, this week there isn’t a ton of new work to show, but what there is turned out pretty well. The one with Elley balancing on a stool and doing a head flip? Yep, she did that. No PS magic for that part.
And some new ones of Tayler. I miss her being in my studio regularly. As I do many who have moved on with their lives. They are like my kids. They are never supposed to grow up and leave home. Or at least their photographer.
This week I did dig out a device that let me light up the model’s through slides so I could do spot lights, crosses, and other designs. Kinda’ fun. I also learned the slides don’t like my stronger lights and some melted a bit. Oh well. Live. Learn. Or get melted.
