Greetings!
I have some new edits from my shoot with Griffin as well as some random ones from recent and past shoots. Having so much more time to edit is relaxing as well as rewarding.
I’m about to start collecting images of Elley and Griffin from my archive and prepare picture books for publication. We have accumulated more than enough fantastic art to make it hard to choose the best to put in a book.
I haven’t stopped going deeper into the archives of long past shoots to find lost edit opportunities, but this summer will see an increase in that activity. I expect future art will be a surprise to both of us. Many of the models have moved on for one reason or another. Some may never see the new art of course. That’s a little sad. I hope they are all enjoying their lives.
Our first full week at Bonita Creek has been quiet and relaxing. Being retired is nice in that I can pick and choose the projects I want to work on—or just nap. Or, edit some new art. Or talk with people from all over the planet on the radio. Yes, it is a tough life, but hey, someone has to do it, right?
I saw something today that I found interesting. Four hundred years ago, we thought we were the center of the universe. Since then, through science, we’ve discovered we are one of a billion planetary systems in our galaxy, and there are billions of galaxies. Kinda’ makes arguing over borders on a seemingly insignificant blue planet seem silly. It is hard to comprehend something that dents our ego in any way. Sorry, so much fresh air encourages pondering.
Enjoy the beginning of summer. Stay cool and hydrated.
