Greetings,
Can you believe it’s September already? Summer is about over, although it’s not evident in Arizona weather. The other morning, I did notice a hint of fall in the air up at Bonita. Time to start watching the Chandler weather to see when we switch back to “city” living for the winter.
This issue will feature all body scapes and what I call body parts. So, plenty of beautiful shapes and angles of the female form. This is a tribute to my first exposure to art that didn’t involve colored paper, macaroni, white glue, and rounded safety scissors. I think I was about ten years old and saw a body scape of a woman. And I loved the lines it formed. I never even dreamed of creating art that beautiful. Well now. Here we are.
Over the last month or so, I have been given some old photos of my childhood that brought back some fun memories. We tend only to remember the fun times. In the mix were some of me in my Cub Scout uniform. All fresh and nice, and I was so proud. Well, I still have that blue shirt and scarf. And I’ve used it in some shoots for almost 17 years of shooting. I offer two examples below. You might notice I was once busy earning badges and arrows. I only remember we had snacks. I’ve picked Elley and Griffin as my models for this step back in antique wear. It is interesting how they don’t fit at all, but sure look more impressive than I ever did in that uniform. Phoenix, New York, Cub Scout pack 20, Cherry Street den, would be proud!
