Greetings!

This issue is a bit late. I let Wednesday sneak up on me. Better than a bear, I suppose. So, here we are again for the 328th time with some more art. This week will feature some art from a single model. She is a lady who, a few years ago, chose not to work with me anymore. We created some fantastic art for eight years.

Here’s where it gets interesting, and you get to learn a little more about me. I still edit work the lady and I did together. We created art and had a nice friendship. I am grateful for our time together. The fun of creation with someone else will always be a fulfilling moment and well worth remembering as a well-spent time in any life. One day it stopped, and I will never know why. I miss her and creating with her, but she closed that door. I’m left with wonderful memories of our time and creation. Best of all, a LOT of images I can still edit. In a sense, that time, as with all of the time I’ve spent with people who create with me, models, makeup artists, and other photographers, they will continue to be a part of my life. I’m extremely lucky to have known and worked with them all, and I know it.

We all exit this life with questions that were never answered. Why people invite us to share moments of their lives and then move on will be at the top of my list of questions. Then again, I’m sure some of those departures were my choice, and I may be someone else’s unanswered question. Life’s mysteries, huh?

All the more reason to cherish the friendships I currently have and love being a part of. They are fleeting as they are wonderful.

I touched on some of my feelings and thoughts about current events in the last issue, and someone took issue with what I’d written. I was a bit shocked that they didn’t realize this is my newsletter and I can and will write anything I’d like. I was told that 2/3rds of my readers would take offense. And told to stick to photographing women and not leave my lane. Well, I lost no subscribers and gained two over the last week. And I will continue to do so. I’m just happy some actually read my ramblings. It is somewhat similar to the articles in Playboy that were often joked about as filler around the photos. (grin). Mine is simply beside the photos.

We are heading down to the heat of the valley to meet a new doctor and have our annual checkup. I’m squeezing in a few shoots and shipping a radio to Italy. Probably some eating at restaurants. The things we can’t do by hiding up here in the mountains.

We did have an enjoyable visit with Keriann and her boyfriend. She made a delicious pizza from scratch, and we talked and watched the sunset. So, we aren’t complete hermits up here.

So, enjoy this issue. I love hearing from y’all about what you think. And thank you again for those who enjoy it enough to buy me an ice cream or hot cocoa.

Enjoy the beginning of summer. Stay cool and hydrated.
