This week in the life…

This week we have a few new edits and a few, more rare, of my older images to fill in and be exposed to you. And there are a few of ME of all people. Worry not, I am fully clothed although some photoshopping would be helpful.

Linda and I are still laying low and staying away from all humans. This week marks my first full year of staying away from people for the most part and wearing a mask when I do have to be around other humans. This week also makes the second year for the Museletter!! It’s been a pleasure to create it each week and there are now 791 subscribers! Wouldn’t hurt to tell a friend. Hint, hint.

This week was full of distractions that didn’t involve editing.

I picked up a new sit/stand desk for my editing station. So there was assembling that and getting it all set up with the screen, computer, and drives. It is working out beautifully.

And as much as I really wanted the Loupedeck to work for me with my editing, it isn’t working with Photoshop. That is a very new feature for them and I may just be 6 months early. So I spent a LOT of time trying to get that going and finally gave up. It’s going back.

Meanwhile, both of my main computers, an iMac and a 16” MacBook both needed to be taken back to factory settings and everything installed again. That takes days and trickles on for weeks if you are lucky enough to never having experianced it. The only plus there was that doing it to both at the same time takes less time. But both are now fully ready to do edits easily.

The other distraction was getting an Oculus 2 virtual reality headset. And the first evening I had it, I played goofy golf with my son and his family…who are 5 or 6 miles away. It was wonderful fun and the typically family teasing and laughing was the real game. The other one had golf balls. Since then I have really loved playing with it and exploring the planet, behind the scenes of movies I’ve seen, and playing an old game I loved called Myst, but this time actually being IN the game. I have to say, it feels surreal when I take off the VR headset and I find myself back in my house.

You all stay safe and enjoy the art.
