Greetings,

Another week has gone by uneventfully up here at Bonita. My daughter just started a new job in California, is getting paid twice as much as her Disney job, and the weather has been nice. My daughter had a loss in her family yesterday when her father-in-law passed away. A funny man from Argentina with a handlebar mustache. He will be missed by us all.

This week’s art is brought to you by Elley. Her name changes often so I’m not sure where to point you to see more of her. She didn’t really do much modeling and I was lucky to get a couple of chances to work with her. She’s a beauty for sure. I have enough edits that you will, indeed, see her on here again.

I hope you enjoy this new format of one model per issue. I might still do a scatter issue from time to time with some random models, or possibly specific topics. How about a Steam Punk issue? Give me some feedback.

I encourage you to support my artistic endeavors with a Patreon subscription. I’ve seen a good number of people jumping on and interacting with me about the various new work. I connected it with something called Discord. It allows my Patrons to post some of their own work if they are artists also. It is a nice place to discuss the images, processes, or models posted. So it’s not just a picture a day, and a video a week. Info below.

This week has been filled with geeky projects. And they all work! The list seems never-ending. Mostly because it involves things I think of and then put on a list. It’s not like they are things I HAVE to do. This week I’ll be modifying my 2,000-watt radio amplifier to be more modern than its 1970 design. And back to building the Keyers I sell. I tested the first one of the new 50 circuit boards I received and for a while, I was panicking. It seemed like it wasn’t working. After a bit of tracking down the problem, I found the tiny volume control was turned all the way down. It’s on the board because it’s never changed once set, but I’m glad it was that simple.

I’m about to remove the switch-over breaker box from the old generator and patch the hole with drywall in preparation for the Solar installation. That’s going to be fun. Geeky stuff. We don’t see it as having a big ROI. Our average electric bill up here is like $70. But, by reducing our environmental footprint some with solar, I estimate the world will remain inhabitable for .3 seconds longer in the end.

And our Keto diet is working well. I’ve never read so many ingredients on packages before. It is enlightening. We are loving the meals and we are starting to lose some weight. Of course, we have a Bluetooth-connected scale so we can see progress on charts. Tomorrow our new treadmill will arrive up here so we’ll have a nice corner of the garage to work out in with that and the Bowflex and TRX. Of course, we’ll do plenty of hikes too, but this will give us a way to make a workout routine a daily habit and part of our lifestyle.

We are watching the pandemic numbers and it looks like March might be in a fast downswing, we shall see. Barring and new variants. We are still just backing the car up to get groceries and avoiding everyone. At least until the hospitals are in better shape. Our way to help the problem is to not add to it. We can, so we are.

And I’ve been thinking. Back in the ’40s and 50’s most people sent their kids to the general store with a list of what they wanted. Later that day it was delivered. That was how it was done. Kinda’ like there used to be people who pumped our gas and checked our tires. If this becomes just the way of life, I’d be happy about that. We got away from serving people and making it sound like self-service was so amazing. No. It cost jobs and takes more time. It always seems to point to more profits to some already rich pocket.

Until next week. Stay warm, dry, happy, and healthy. Please!

Dave

Patreon for those who want daily brand new art.

And my Patreon site is doing well, even though the link last week was all wrong for it. It’s kinda cool, with three tiers to choose from.

For $5 a month you get a new edit each day, ofter more. Something no one has seen yet. Some may never make it to the public.

For $12 a month I’ll be posting a lot of behind-the-scenes stories, videos of BTS, and Zoom Q&A once a month.

And for $25 a month you get all of that AND every THREE MONTHS you’ll get a print of your choice mailed to you.

So check it out and support my efforts, and have some daily art.

Enough about me. Enjoy this month’s art and let me know what you think.

Until next week, enjoy!!! And stay safe.

And if you are not subscribed, here you go!!
