Greetings,

Here in Arizona the weather has been nice lately. I worked outside all day yesterday and I don’t think it got to be over 90. I’ll grab it while I can.

I may have covered this before, but I wanted to explain why I don’t go into detail of who my images are of, and why I don’t put names and links in my Museletter. It is not that I don’t remember who the models are…not that I would admit it. I’m sure someday that could very well be the case. I would actually love to advertise who these beautiful people are, but it’s not about that in this little weekly rattle about my life. We are hit with links and ads all of the time. I want people to just enjoy the art. Frankly, I expect my most avid followers know exactly who is in every image anyhow. I do tend to shoot some people as often as they let me. Those of you who follow me on FB or IG know that some have tags and some don’t. If there isn’t a tag, there is a reason.

So, enjoy their beauty and our art.

I have a second XP-PEN monitor/tablet coming tomorrow. They had a really good sale and it became easier to have two than to drag my one tablet between homes every trip. Less to worry about. My big one is 2500 pixels across and 24”. This new one is 22” and 1920 across. It’s easier to see the pixels but it’s not bad. I started with one of those, sold it in a week after I got the 24”. I’m excited to have a backup and less ‘stuff’ to haul. Got it on sale for $360. And I needed the tax write off.

It is important to me not add anything to my camera gear, lighting setups, or editing options that would impact my training. I’d love an R5 camera, but using something more in line with a majority of my students is important. Same with editing options. I use only one filter, period. And, although I moved to the screen/tablet, that doesn’t change how to edit even a tiny bit. In the training videos you can’t tell I’m using a screen and not a basic tablet. I don’t want anyone to think some bit of gear is the reason my art looks like it does.

Linda is going in for her new body part tomorrow so I’ll be busy feeding her and helping her binge watch some shows for a few days. The goal is to get her to the mall in a few days and walk it at least once. I’m sure she’ll be fine. It’s a good sign when the doctors didn’t ask me for help or advice.

I think I talked recently about my need to find some new talent to work with because people grow and move on. And I actually have several new people in my calendar now. Sooo, we’ll see. I’m always up for a new co-conspirator, or three, in my art.

And I’ll end this with a link to a Youtube video of my latest geek out with remotely detaching my antennas if there is a storm. After all, Bonita Creek is 100 miles away and when there is a storm…. Fun stuff…for fellow geeks.

Until next week, be safe, happy, cool, and hydrated.

Dave
