Greetings!

We made it through the first month of 2024! So far, so good here. How about with you? Like every year, January starts very slow regarding photo shoots. A couple of days ago, I had my first shoot since before Christmas. I’m wondering if it isn’t more of a time-conceptual issue. Since the year is changing, even January seems so far away, even when it is literally tomorrow. In any case, I’m happy to say my calendar is starting to have some sprinkles of shoots for the next few months, with a slight chance of art. With fun flooding in this area.

I am super excited to be one of the featured photographers in the magazine Model Society for January. Years ago, I tried to become a photographer member and, with encouragement to keep improving and try later, I was turned down. So, I kept improving, and eventually, I was accepted. Since then, I’ve posted hundreds of images, and I even have training available in their Model Society Academy, where some of the best of the best also have training available. What I find thrilling is that the people I admire most, the true fine art nude artists of today, are considered my peers! It will always boggle my mind that I got to this point.

If you are a fine art nude lover, I invite you to the one website and publisher that is very much into the art of it. I’d consider it THE most classy and creative magazine and website available today. Please check it out and consider supporting them.

Here is a link to get you started. And you’ll get a flavor of the beauty you would experience on the website and magazine.

The January issue features me and a few of my peers.

And here is the training by me available on their website. Heck, I watched the video and almost signed up myself!

I have a shoot in less than an hour with Diana—so much energy in such a little lady. I love working with her because she has the most amazing lips. She tells me she inherited them from her father.

I’m still getting used to my new camera. The Canon EOS R6 is so much different than the EOS R. What you would expect from the original mirrorless and like seven new models since. I put that little R through the ringer with five years of shoots. Although, during the pandemic, it was on the shelf for months at a time. The last three location shoots at the dunes have messed it up with dust. I don’t know why I didn’t think about the smaller dust particles in the air. I have to clean spots off many of the dunes' images. Especially ones from the second day of each trip. Yep, that little guy is in for a pro cleaning.

Linda and I have been watching the Apple TV series “Masters of the Air”. Oh my, what an amazingly detailed journey of the men involved in the war's B-17 missions over Europe. From seeing them getting suited up for the freezing flights to the checklist before the flight to the tireless all-night prep that the ground crews did while the pilots slept. I’ve never seen a better story behind what it was like. It has a great cast, too.
