Greetings,

It’s April already. But a much brighter one than this time last year. I hope you all are taking care of business and reaching for that normal we all miss. But, don’t leave behind the parts of secluded life we may have forgotten about that we should make a part of our new life. Reading a book under a tree, baking a cake, writing that novel, whatever you turned to that you never had time for before. Make time to keep the good things in the priority column.

There are more edits from my two-day shoot with Elley. It still feels like we did that yesterday. I would certainly do it again tomorrow in a blink. Heck, I was missing each location as we drove off to the next one.

I had a shoot with Violet and we even added some fashion. I don’t mind fashion if it can be edgy and about the model and not the cloth. Of course, there will be more art coming from those two sessions. By the next Museletter, there will be some art from another shoot too.

I’m getting ready for the first group class on May 15th. It will be the first one in over a year and it’ll be the last one at this price. If you are a photographer who can attend a class in Arizona, this will be a great opportunity. I’ll be showing lighting the whole time and the next day we’ll do a zoom class on editing. Check it out.

This week we are up at Bonita with family just chilling out. And, of course, playing with my new radio. I have talked to the Cook Islands, the Yukon, and Argentina in the last few days.

In the next few months, I have a lot of favorite models on the calendar already. And plenty of room for some others to fill the white space. In June we’ll have Kileen from New Mexico coming to Bonita for a long day of shooting. That shoot has been on our minds for a few years so it should be fun.

The plan is to spend another summer at Bonita Creek. I have a studio here as well as the guest bedroom and the entire Tonto National Forest…and of course, a creek. So it should be a wonderful summer with more out-of-studio art. But I’m always prepared for an adventure out there on the road too.

I’m about to go on a bender and create some new content for my training website. It’s been a while, and I expect there can’t be too much on there. I have Lauren coming in a few days for a shoot and I’m going to record some things about lighting in the studio as well as an interview with her about what models expect from photographers. That will be fun and educational.

Enjoy and stay safe.

Dave
