This week in the life…

Greetings all!

This Wednesday snuck up on me. I’ve been goofing off doing so much that isn’t photography or art related that there are only a couple freshly edited images this week. I’ll do better next week, I promise.

Linda and I went to the weekly visit to the store yesterday and we were happy to see pretty much everyone was wearing a mask, at least at the two places we went. BIG signs outside demanding masks, so that might have had something to do with it. Payson is a very…well, let’s just say they believe a lot of things that require one to wear tin foil on the head. Typical small town I suppose. We don’t regret hiding up in the forest, but I do miss people to talk with, to joke with, and create art with.

The weather has been warm. Warm enough to warrent the AC during the day. Just the low 90’s though. And at night we can have the doors and windows open to enjoy the sounds of nature, owls, coyotes, Elk, and the cool wind in the trees. And, last night we sat on the deck and just watched the stars and the Milky Way.

I do have plans to do a shoot next month up here. We shall see the state of the world at that point.

For the last 3 days Linda and I have been spending the mornings clearing up our little .7 acre lot while it’s cooler. Nice workout. I expect we have another week or two before it’s like we want it. And since we’ve been up here for months now, we have our massive flock of hummingbirds constantly draining the feeders. We are buying sugar by the large bag and it’s lasting about a week.

And, my latest ‘geek’ project is installing a new ‘Infotainment’ system in my truck. Away with the basic AM/FM/CD and here comes Apple Play and a 10” screen for navigation, etc. Beats buying a new truck. I was shocked when I did all of the wiring and everything seems to have worked first time. Backup camera is on the way and then it’ll be complete. Now I just need somewhere to drive it. Like many of you, I’m getting weeks per gallon.

I’ll add a picture below. Diversions are good.

So, you all have a wonderful week. May the new normal be good to you and your families. Be careful, be safe, and be happy.
