Greetings,

I hope you all had a wonderful week. It sure was up here. Doors and windows have been open since we got back up. Like much of Arizona, we’ve had some storms roll through almost every day for a few weeks. And some welcome rain. The forest seems to be enjoying the damp break based on how green it is right now.

Those shoots I snuck in while we were in the valley a week ago have some finished images in this gallery. A good number of images in this gallery are new edits from the last week and those shoots we did. I edited a few new ones of Elley and Marcella just because I like to mix it up. Griffin and Lydia killed it in their shoots, as you will see. I’m sure more of Kenzie will be in next week’s edition. So, this issue is another mix devoted to beauty and art.

My journey moving my artist content to Deviant Art instead of 500px has been rewarding as well as a little bit profitable. The number of followers and comments are growing each day, and I’ve even sold a couple of the images. It is a good community with some fine artists. As the name implies, the art is a bit more edgy and wild and, in many cases, more adult than 500px. It is called Deviant Art, after all. I’ve been a member since I started 12 years ago. But I wasn’t very active. It’s nice to have a running start with a hand full of followers already. It is growing fast, with new content going up every day. Check it out.

A shout out to everyone who took the time to send me long and thoughtful emails about the past issues. I read every message and try to respond when I can. It’s nice to know the hours I put into this venture bring a few moments of escape from the world with some art and my ramblings to some of you. Thank you all for your support.

This week’s video is from my shoot with Elley and Dan at the Salton Sea. Some ariel shots from a drone (Dan is a geek too) and some beautiful sunset opportunities caught. I added a couple of the finished shots in this gallery to view the results. Enjoy

Geek alert. My big Collins radio has a problem, like anything 67 years old. But it’s probably a simple fix but will have to wait until fall. My new monster antenna up here has been working beautifully. I had a nice 15-minute chat with ham in Spain the other night. Most often a contact with a DX (distant) station is a simple exchange of names and signal reports, so it is nice to sit and chat occasionally. My workbenches are being cleaned up for a fall and winter of building and maintaining radio gear. I have enough projects and kits to build to last for the remainder of my life easily.

I have some new shoots already on the books and training via the online system and 1on1 with Zoom is growing. Things are good.

Stay cool, happy, and healthy!

Dave
