Greetings,

It kinda’ looks like the heat is waning just a little. We’ve had a few days where the doors and windows have been open, and the AC isn’t on all day. Cool breezes are the norm for now and that’s why we have a place in the mountains. Well, one of the reasons.

There are a good number of new edits in this issue. Between the chore of getting the new Beast ready for the 26-day journey and other things around the house that inevitably need some attention, it has been harder to sit down and do some edits. I do love doing them, so it is relaxing for me.

It has been a geeky week. Those are always fun, yet, somehow expensive. The Beast came with a 100-watt solar panel and an 85-ah battery. For most people, that would be fine. Even for me. But what a beautiful excuse to go Benford 5000 on everything. It now has a pair of batteries totaling 200ah, and she will have another 100-watt panel on the roof before we head out. And I have a nice portable 200-watt set of foldable panels to give me 400 watts of solar power in total.

And I was bit by the eBike bug, and today it might even show up. Again with all of the geeky accessories, of course. It is a foldable bike, so I’m taking it with us on the trip. A helmet with lights, a built-in 4K camera and speakers, an actual screen for rear view instead of mirrors, and some pretty good range. I plan to peddle most of the time, but having a little help up the hills and a breather occasionally without stopping will be nice. Fun times ahead.

And probably the most exciting news is that I’m not in anywhere near the amount of pain I’ve been in for months. I won’t bother anyone with the details, but to say that the support in your shoes is WAY more important than you might think. It certainly is more important than I thought, just in time to hike the trails on our trip and some short trips up the creek here before we head out.

Speaking of the trip. Again. I’m ready to edit on the road with a very nice pad/screen and my 13” Macbook. Uploading new content may be a little iffy here and there, so keep that in mind if Wednesday shows up and the Museletter isn’t anywhere to be seen. Last week was Mail Chimp’s fault that it was a day late. They didn’t send it on the schedule I told them. In their defense, they have been changing things in that area.

Remember that there are 236 other Museletters on the website, and you can visit any of them and enjoy some art at any time. After you read this, you might want to take a moment and look around the website. It is large and has a LOT of content. Just look at the menu under the banner above.

Always look for the bright side.

How to handle an argument. Stop and listen. Ask questions. And always consider you could be wrong. And maybe negotiate?

To be a great conversationalist, ask questions and listen. Repeat.

Stay open-minded and curious, my friends!
