Greetings!

Last hello for this year. We are finished turning the page, moving on to the next chapter, and heading for a new story. Of course, what that story will be is up to you. I’m betting on a happy ending in the pages and chapters in 2024. “Make it so” as the captain would say.

We have a video in this issue. The wonderful Nikole playing in her kitchen with some old guy and his cameras. She’s such a driven businesswoman, yet as sweet as they come. It is hard to find someone who really listens to what you are saying and then responds with either questions or a possible direction. So many spend the time trying to think of things similar that happened to them so they can tell you all about it. She listens to you with a compassionate mind and is not just looking for a personal experience to respond with. And she’s a life coach! Talk about being perfect for a job, right?!?

Everyone spends the last week looking back on the previous year. Who am I to buck that trend? Twenty-three was a year that doesn’t seem to have fit. It wasn’t bad per se, but it wasn’t sparkly either. My view of the year is my fault, good or bad.

I did a few fun things and updated some equipment. It just feels like it could be ‘more’ somehow. I’m still enjoying life, and I really have nothing at all to complain about. I typically see the bright side of things, so it’s a bit strange. I mean, when I broke my wrist, I was happy it was my left one. Maybe I was expecting the number of shoots to go up after the pandemic settled down. The shoots I have accomplished have been great fun and creative. And our camping trips were stellar,

It is up to me to polish up twenty-four and customize it to be as good as I expect it to be. We do get 365 tries each year to make it a stand-out year.

I’m getting my printer ready to run some prints for my collection. There is something about holding art in your own hands and not having it glowing at you from a screen. If you’d like a print of anything you’ve seen on my website, let me know. The first print is $75, and each additional one is $10 less than the previous one. $75, $65, and then $55 until the price levels off at $25 for each print. Postage is additional and probably under $15.

Prints come in 11x17 or 17x22 on high-quality luster paper and are shipped to you in a heavy-duty mailing tube. They are stunning.

I’m glad I have a new camera body. I was editing some shots from my last trip to the dunes shooting Elley, and oh man, did I see dirt spots on the images. Whew!! I think that the camera body is destined to see a professional cleaning.

Happy New Year to you, and please stay healthy and happy, give hugs and smiles, and be warmly compassionate. We all need each other, no matter our politics, bathing habits, or skin color.
