Greetings,

It is already next week. And next week this will be last week. That’s as deep as we get here. Unfortunately, as close to time travel as we’ll get. Damnit!

So, this week’s video is of a shoot with Elley around the pool in a beautiful home in Mesa that I shoot at often. I have to say, I always listen to the videos to make sure we don’t talk about something that might prove embarrassing. So far, we don’t seem to gossip much. I haven’t had to edit any. This week we do casually chat about racism a bit. But it’s a nice BTS, and you can see how much of a pro Elley is.

The gallery has about ten more images than the usual Museletter. I’ve been including a lot of BTS shots just for the fun of it, so I tossed more edits in. There are plenty of brand-new ones this week. I’ve had plenty of time to do some edits.

Lately, I’ve had a lot of interest in renting the studio and signing up for online training. Even some interest in 1on1 training sessions. I’m surprised there isn’t more interest in Zoom classes. I do love to teach photography so this makes me happy.

Another interesting question I’m being asked often lately is, how long have I been doing photography? This could be taken two ways. Wow, only 12 years; that’s awesome. Or. Wow, twelve years, and you still haven’t figured it out? Both are true in a sense. There are always new things to figure out, and I think I’ve figured out some of them. So I guess my course is true.

Last weekend I added some new lighting to my collection. These are long, thin rods of constant white light. They are about three feet long, and I have a couple. I plan to try light painting with them and see what kind of magic I can create. There are more than a few ideas for studio use, but also some for location. The odd part is, these only cost me $10 each. I should have bought a bunch more, but I hadn’t realized how cool they were until I got them home. Fun new looks.

Geek alert! I have a new radio power amplifier coming in the next week or so that I ordered in February. And I recently added some new accessories for very reasonable prices so lots of new ‘stuff’ to play with. Like I didn’t have enough already.

Oh, and if you haven’t watched She-Hulk on Disney, Linda and I love it. Funny, witty, and far more imaginative than I’ve seen Disney in a long time. Playful and fun.

Until next week…

Stay excellent, happy, healthy, and curious my friends!

Dave
