Greetings,

I hope the new calendar year is treating everyone well. Linda and I are missing that distant normal we had years ago, but it’s also freaking me out a bit how much I’m getting used to being a hermit. I’m not loving it, but it is becoming comfortable.

Oh, and this is the Museletter’s THIRD birthday! Yep, three full years of Wednesday email for many of you! Thank you so much for your support, comments, and friendship!

Well, the first episode of Wide Open with Colby Files and I has been completed and is ready to publish. Hopefully within a week we will have the Youtube channel ready to go and I’ll announce it here, and everywhere. We’ve passed it by some people to view it and they gave us some nice feedback. We’ll certainly try to keep it interesting. We talk about how we first got started and the things we went through. We hope non-photographers will enjoy the stories and what we’ve learned. For the photographer just starting out it will explain a lot of things we wish we’d known when we started, and for the old timers, it’ll be some head nodding and remembering their own journey and stories. Should be fun.

The new process of editing for Patreon and devoting each Museletter to a model is smoothing out. It’s always fun to find the most efficient way to manage several new projects. Its when I look back in a few months and ask myself, why did I decide to do it this way, or that way? When there is an obvious better way to do it. I do that with a lot of things. It’s a love hate thing. Love the new way, hate that you didn’t think of it before.

This week I’m plastering Elley all over the Museletter. I have SO much content with her. Adventures that let us create for whole weekends. Trips to mines (of course) and a horse ranch, the beach, hidden swimming holes, cliffs, and movie sets. The list goes on and I hope to add many more adventures with her before my life adventure is over. She’s turned into a wonderful friend too. Follow her adventures as a geologist!!

I’m also planning to work on more ‘Art Books’ like the one I did in 2018. I have so much content and much of it really needs to have a better place than just electronic form…although they will all be available on PDF of course. I’m thinking about centering each one around either a specific model or a theme. I think I could fill a Steam Punk book, or a bathtub book, or body scapes even. What do you think?

On the geek front I have so many little projects that it could easily take me into summer if I dropped everything and just worked on those. Don’t worry, I’m not nearly that focused. Hell, we literally have four squirrels that live in our front yard.

Yesterday morning I was kicked off of FB for 3 days. I now see those as a gift of sorts. Not that I spend all that much time on there anymore. When I do, I look for friends and other artists I enjoy and like their work and enjoy seeing what’s going on in their lives. I can still peek, just can’t like or post. Between my other projects that give me plenty of exposure and opportunity to publish, I’m pretty happy. When I do get booted, this time it was for sexual material, not a nipple in sight, it reminds me of the time I reported a video of a woman being stoned to death and they said it was okay because it didn’t violate their rules. That’s when I knew common sense and compassion was not a part of their operation. Just the almighty dollar.

Until next week. Stay warm, dry, happy, and healthy. Please!

Dave

Patreon for those who want daily brand new art.

And my Patreon site is doing well, even though the link last week was all wrong for it. It’s kinda’ cool, with three tiers to choose from.

For $5 a month you get a new edit each day, ofter more. Something no one has seen yet. Some may never make it to the public.

For $12 a month I’ll be posting a lot of behind the scenes stories, videos of BTS, and Zoom Q&A once a month.

And for $25 a month you get all of that AND every THREE MONTHS you’ll get a print of your choice mailed to you.

So check it out and support my efforts, and have some daily art.

Enough about me. Enjoy this months art and let me know what you think.

Until next week, enjoy!!! And stay safe.

And if you are not subscribed, here you go!!
