Greetings!

There are a bunch of new edits this week. I spent a lot of time editing. I miss the shoots, as I do after every holiday season. There are some fun artistic shoots in the calendar over the next couple of months so that should get the ball rolling. I need to get more mileage on my new Canon R6.

The video this week is a new one. When Elley and I get together, we can turn the simplest things into an excellent art collection. It boils down to her making faces at me and my knowing her well enough that I know what to expect and when. There is minimal ‘direction’ when we work together because we get into a flow we both know well. I feel fortunate that I’ve had this kind of connection with several models in my 14 years, and it shows in the art.

In this video, you’ll see Elley with a simple child’s toy and nothing else. Can you imagine having no furniture or clothes and creating interesting and fun poses? That is a herculean challenge. She has the talent. I can hand her anything, and she’ll make it work in our art. One time, I gave her a studio light umbrella and told her to use it as a hat. And she nailed it.

This video shows the short few minutes and how many beautiful shots came from that tiny sliver of the shoot.

Until the flashes start going off in the studio, I’ll continue to return to earlier shoots and create new art. So much beauty, so little time.
