This week in the life…

(Note: Today would be a good day to take a deep breath, try to clear your mind of the events you’ve witnessed, if only for a couple minutes, and wrap your head around some art. For your own mental health.)

Welcome to a new year. New years make us feel renewed to some extent. It allows us to put some things behind us and we tend to spend a little time thinking about what the future holds. This year it may be more fantasy and dreams than actual possibilities, but we shall see.

We are the consciousness and sub consciousness of our minds. That is our soul, who we are. We can decide to be happy or grumpy. More and more I have kept this concept in the forefront of my daily thought process and it really has made a difference. It’s more fun to be happy. And there are always reasons around me to be happy. Health, the time and opportunity to enjoy my toys, and of course being with my sweetie. Especially this sweet spot time of my life because the next stage isn’t as nice I’m sure. But as long as I’m not being fitted with diapers and my kids aren’t taking away my keys, I’m golden.

Soooo, I broke the rule again a week ago, but did everything as safe as possible, and did a shoot. Vilma and Chuck travel all over the country and they were finally passing through Phoenix and we took a chance and helped Vilma with her dream of some artistic nude work. Chuck has done some outstanding nudes with her but he likes fashion better. I like fashion too. On the rack. In the store. The coffee shot on the right is one of the results. And it was grand to visit with them a little.

I did more editing than I thought I did so a lot of this week’s gallery is new. One thing I did do was include a lot of the before and after and some behind the scenes of many of the shots.

I did pick up a new tool for editing this week. I’m still configuring it, and it’s far more than I should be using as an old retired guy, but it’s going to change our I do a LOT of my computer work, editing and otherwise. It’s called the Loupedeck CT. I sure wrung my hands at the price, but it really is a finally tuned product and has a great fit and finish. So, we shall see. It will certainly make editing just a little more fun, as if I don’t love it anyhow.

Next week I’ll have a new stand up desk to edit from. And I’ll try to put a little video together showing the workspace and include a little editing examples. By then I should have some of this Loopdeck configured the way I want it.

You all stay safe and enjoy the art.
