Greetings,

I have to say, my jump back into being artistic and creative was as easy as falling off a cliff. Elley and her Bo Dan took me all over Western Arizona in their side by side UTV and it was a blast. And the locations they took me to were nothing short of magical. And we didn’t really see any people in any of the places we went, and that was awesome.

We visited some narrow canyons, mine shafts, a small secluded lake, and saw a BUNCH of petroglyphs. And we had decided to explore the mine until Elley spotted what was certainly Bob Cat tracks leading in and none leading out. So, we decided the mine didn’t need us to explore it. Not today. During our shoots, Elley, the trooper she is, ended up with a goose egg on her head from her noggin trying to occupy the same space as the cliff wall, hurt her ankle doing a pose in heels where heels have never been before, and froze her butt in the water long enough that she couldn’t feel it anymore. And this is one reason I’m the photographer and not the model. That, and no one wants to see a picture of me.

Today I’m doing an Audrey Hepburn themed shoot with Violet in studio so that kicks off studio shooting. The shoots are still spread out and I’m still being careful for the models and me, but it’s a bit of fresh air. Two weeks until my next shoot.

On the geek side, I bought a new radio that should be here Friday. I’ve been semi-drooling over it since it was announced 4 years ago. I checked my bank account, double checked my age, and said WTF and pushed the add to cart button. The longer you live the shorter life gets.

Other than taking me a couple days to rest after those couple days running around outside shooting, nothing much is new here. I’ll add some behind the scenes in the art this week.

Enjoy and stay safe.

Dave
