Greetings,

So, this is issue #250. And my birthday. And, assuming there is any candy left from Halloween, there is that, even though I shouldn’t be eating sugar.

Thank you all for your nice feedback from last week’s issue. It is tough seeing AI popping up all over. Not just art but literature and just chatting. It reminds me of the movie ‘Her’ where a new operating system has a female voice that people fall in love with. I can see AI easily getting to that point for some people. I guess we shall see.

Recently I’ve been visiting older shoots to edit. I visited one I did with Lisa back in the day that we shot often. The edits I’d done were actually pretty bad, in my opinion. So, I edited a new one, which looks much better than the others. That really shows that ten extra years of experience help the art grow fonder. (grin)

Although my scheduled shoots have been slow since the pandemic came and mostly went, I do have some good shoots coming up on the calendar. I’ll be shooting Kristy on my birthday. She’s a traveling model that I’ve shot a few times before. Some of our work is in this issue’s gallery.

And I’m excited that on Friday, I head to the dunes once again to meet up with Elley. We have a few days to fine-tune what we want to capture. We both have some exciting ideas to keep us busy. On this trip, we have a comfortable trailer to relax in—no more pup tents for this old guy. I plan to stay until Tuesday and enjoy the quiet and do some editing from the trailer. I think I’ve mentioned how much I enjoy sleeping in the bed in that trailer. I think it has five pillows, and today we added a privacy curtain and yet another comforter.

The difference with this trip is that we have done this twice before and cranked out a lot of looks and some art I’m proud of. This trip, we’ll have the time to fine-tune the lights, outfits, and poses and come home with many beautiful possibilities.

We have settled back to living in Chandler after a lovely summer at Bonita. It has taken a week to put everything back where it belongs. I’ve decided that we won’t be taking anywhere near as much ‘stuff’ back and forth between the homes. We can easily find things to do in both places.

I have had a chance to ride my eBike around the hood here. It’s nice to ride it on a smooth road for once. It is undoubtedly safer, other than the drivers texting as they drive.

Happy holidays!
