This week in the life…

Greetings!!

It has been an extra enjoyable week for me. It’s always fun for a geek to have a new toy. You many remember my telling you about the 22” screen/tablet I got a few weeks ago that has changed everything about how I edit images? Well, since I fell in love with this process, and a big sale is going on from that company, I have already upgraded to the largest and most powerful version. It is 24” diagonally and a higher resolution than the first one. It is perfect. Brighter, a little clearer, and the screen feels like it may actually be glass. At 15 pounds I would hope so.

Earlier this week I had a shoot with a dear beautiful model I haven’t really worked with for a couple years. She’d moved to California and we lost touch. She’s the one in the banner and to the right. We spent a good 5 hours shooting, with makeup and hair provided by Dania, my go-to makeup and hair stylist. Between the two of them I think I probably captured some of my best work. You can decide. All of that shoot, so far anyhow, is in the gallery below. Probably a few more by next week. These aren’t on social media so it’s pretty exclusive here.

And there are some new ones from Ariana from the house shoot the week before. Linda did a good job following me around and capturing some behind the scenes video of that amazing shoot. And I am almost finished creating a 20 minute video with that footage mixed with some finished shots. I’ve always wanted to make a video like that and give people a feel for what it’s like to shoot. It’s full of joking around and even some serious posing banter. Once I add some voice over and a good cover for it I plan to make it available to everyone. Well, everyone over 18 at least. I have video from 4 other shoots so there will probably be more to come.

I hope you enjoy the art this week. There are over 40 images and a majority of those are new edits. I’m feverishly learning my new toy and enjoying the speed at which I can create now. It’s amazing. And I feel a little more like an artist because I’m actually drawing on the images. I’m sure my mother would tell me I’m sitting to close to the screen. My eyes have already hinted to me that this is the case.

You all stay safe and enjoy the art.
