Greetings,

It’s been a busy week here. Not only are there 28 all new edits, but we had two shoots up here last weekend and on Monday we had to go to the valley for the morning. And I trimmed our love grass and cleaned up the garage. Whew! There were a few naps in the swing of course. This old battery doesn’t hold a charge as long as it used to.

This issue introduces a new model, Taylor. Top and right images. She’s a darling and I hope we have a lot of shoots together in the future. That’s looking like they will happen. I’ve been saying how I need some new people to work with as many of my past ‘regulars’ have had the audacity to do things like move away, have babies, build careers, or stop modeling. They didn’t read the fine print in the model release requiring them to go into stasis until I contact them. Of course I’m kidding. In every case, when a model moves on with his or her life, I am ever thankful to have been even a foot note in the life story they are writing. They have certainly been a highlight in my life story.

I picked up a second 24” screen/tablet so I don’t have to drag my only one between homes. So I think I’m down to just the 32TB drive and a computer bag when we flip flop between homes. The XP-pen 24” device went on sale for $630. That’s like 25% off so how could I refuse. And I sold the smaller 22” I just bought to a photographer friend who could really use it. She got a deal too.

It being September 1st, I went around and got our fire places going. Gas and remote control of course. The high today is supposed to be around 70f and last night an inch of rain fell from the heavens. I love tropical storm rains. Now for the heat wave to come rolling in, right?!?

Our day trip to the valley on Monday was mainly to pick up the pair of wings that were left out of my previous shipment from the Ukraine. They are massive and beautiful, but they shipped them requiring a signature. So, we started our 2 hour drive to Chandler at 6am and after breakfast at Kneaders, a trip to the post office, and weeding out the grass in the alley (warning notice from the City) we headed back up. We were at Bonita by just after noon. We got this. There are pictures of the wings in the gallery below.

Since Elley has been away doing her thing in Greenland I’ve been editing some shots from previous shoots. Oh my, I’m finding some favorite new ones. I’m always sad in a way when I find sleepers in the pile, but super happy when they come out so well. I’m kind’a coming to the conclusion there aren’t many they can’t be edited to be really nice art…so there is that.

Josh brought up his niece to shoot here at Bonita last week and that was great fun. He got some amazing images with her. And the next day Nikki came up and we shot in the trees, the guest bedroom, and down by the creek. Busy days but great fun. I’m doing it while I can.

Linda is doing great with her new hip. Walking more each day and getting her strength back with far less pain. It won’t be long and she’ll be out on the trail with me or bouncing down the road in our little side by side.

Enjoy!!! And stay safe.
