Greetings!

Assuming y’all aren’t blind from watching the eclipse, welcome to this week’s issue. It has been a fun week with some shooting and a lot of revisiting some past shoots to harvest new art. It is calming for me to be able to edit images, new or old. And that I have literally terabytes of images to go back to if I want. At my age, that’s a lifetime supply.

We had a wonderful friend, come and stay with us for the weekend. We went on a long road trip to Boyce Arboretum and had a fabulous day. After the nice long walk around the arboretum we headed up through Globe and the surrounding near ghost towns and then up to stop at Bonita to get a couple chores done. Then back to Chandler and some shooting with her.

May is shaping up to be a very active month. The class I’m holding with Elley on the 11th is almost full already, and we expected that. Then the next weekend I get to shoot some D&D game play with the ladies in full consume for their characters. THAT will be an amazing day for sure. After the shoot, we’ll do some actual gaming and total enjoyment. I should have my own character created by then so I may get to play it for the first time. It is a good thing I’ll be with friends, and D&D players seem to be a caring and patient lot.

Outfits for the class are being ordered. They should give us some spectacular looks to shoot. Most will be fairly translucent, giving us a lot of light play in the images.

Actually, as you read this, Linda and I will be on a quick trip visiting friends in Santa Ynez, near Santa Barbara, for a few days and then down to Huntington Beach for some quiet and walks on the beach. Now that my back issues have abated mostly, it’s not painful to walk. Last summer was excruciating.

It’s funny how I have two homes and it is still good to get away. It is the escape from all of the projects waiting for my attention. Of course, visiting with friends is always at the top of any priority list. The older one gets, the more friendships and interaction means. We see the value clearly.

Because we are on the road there is a slight chance next week’s issue will be a selected rerun from any of the previous 272 issues. ;).

Until then, enjoy this art and stay happy and healthy. Take some walks, they are free after all, and hug all of your relatives. Hugs are also free for the most part. Some come with restraining orders, so watch out for those. If you don’t know their name, probably not okay to just walk up and hug them.

And, if you are a photographer and want to attend our class, there are only four spots laft. Check it out!!

I support an organization called Model Society. So many wonderful artists to inspire me. Check out their magazine!

And, we have a new photography class scheduled for May 11th!! It will be the third annual natural light class with Elley as the model. I’ll be adding a single light to the mix this year and Elley will have some new and unique outfits. Last year a good number of people who attended had come to the first one. They knew just how much fun it is. After five hours of shooting everyone was happy and exhausted.

Check it out!!
