This week in the life…

Greetings!!

Well now! This is Museletter number 99!! Once upon a time, 99 weeks ago, we were staying in a bed and breakfast in Huntington Beach. That beautiful town that has 120 vehicles for every 100 parking spots.

I think I had the whole day to myself and I really didn’t want to lose my parking space, so, I sat at the tiny desk and started the Wednesday Museletter. So, in a big and litteral way, it kept me off the streets and still does. I’ve never missed one, even when I went to Ireland/England for a month. This might be a good time to remind you that every single one is available on my website.

Yesterday I thought I’d come down with a cold. It’s like, how the hell did that happen!?!?! We’ve been hiding out at home 100% of the time. We even order our groceries and back the car up at the store to get them. Well, it’s not a cold, but it’s digestive of some kind. Common with old farts. I guess you could say, this too shall pass.

This week we have yet another behind the scenes video, this one covering a two day trip to Skull Valley and an abandoned mining shack. Two of the most fun days I’ve had in a long while. (a few months ago) I call these ‘adventures’ because we never know what we’ll come home with. For 13 minutes and 4 seconds, you get to join us for much of the trip. We didn’t get video for all of it, but what we did get is wonderful. I hope you enjoy the trip. I have content for a couple more but I’m not going to spoil you with a video every week. But soon.

It’s nice that a vaccine is going to be available. It’s sad that we screwed up and just might have enough for the whole country over the next YEAR!!! Linda and I plan to wait until the health care heros have it, old folks in the rest homes, the people who need it to get back to work, and the school kids. That pretty much means 2022 for us most likely. I hope you all get a shot as soon as you can. Hoaxes don’t kill people, people who believe in hoaxes kill people. Wear a mask and get the shot.

My latest little geeky electronics project is a little Arduino computer that will let me actually use my telegraph key to type on my computer. I’ll be able to send the words in morse code and it will type it for me. I won’t go over the reasons this is cool and handy device, but I’ll include a little video to show it working. I need something to keep me off the streets Thursday-Tuesday, right?

You all stay safe and enjoy the art.

Dave
