Greetings,

So, we are back at the Chandler Studio and as I type this I’m waiting for a couple models to finish their makeup for a shoot.  One is Violet and the other is Autumn, a new model for me.  I’ve only snuck in one shoot since mid December, so I hope I’m not to rusty.  I typically save my new edits for Patreon these days, so I’m sure they will show up here in the months to come.

This week’s art is with the amazing Ziva Fey. We’ve worked together often and she never fails to give me some amazing art. We are talking about another shoot soon.

Yesterday I was poking around in my profile on Facebook and deleting some things that could be used to more easily steal my identity.  In the process I accidentally made myself younger as I was changing my birth date.  Evidently, Facebook didn’t like that and shut me down until they could review my driver license.  So, I vanished in the eyes of everyone I know for the last couple days.  Hopefully, sometime soon, they will see this old guy is 69 years old and I’ve had my account for 15+ years. .  If they decide I’m still not worthy, I get to start all over again.  And in a way, I’m okay with that.  They only show my work to a small percentage of people who are ‘friends’ anyhow.  Same with Instagram.  Got kicked off both.  ;)

I enjoy posting on 500px more actually.  Every day I put 5 images on there.  Older work to be sure, but there I have over 50K views PER DAY!!  That is over a million views of my work every month.  And there are a lot of likes and comments, and frankly, that international venue, with very class act art, is a more fun place to be seen.  And I think, with over 25k followers, I have a strong feeling my new training and Patreon subscribers come from there anyhow.

I’m getting all prepped for a nice long and creative weekend at the dunes and Saltan Sea.  Elley and her Fiancé will be joining me for a LOT of photo shooting and exploring.  Saturday and into Monday.  I expect I’ll be coming home with a camera full of wonderful new work to edit.  That should keep me busy for a while.

And this little trip is going to test my new camping options.  Since we sold the little Basecamp trailer, and this is NOT the environment to be buying an RV now, I’m going to sleep it the back of my truck on this trip.  It has a little camper cover with a door in the back, so it should work.  It’s just me.  And I’ll have food and a Porta Potty, so I should be golden.  I have a couple days to get that all organized.  Saturday morning at 4am the adventure begins.

Geek alert.  Yesterday I visited a friend who I’ve known a few years but had only met on the radio before.  And he lives 6 minutes from my house.  He has an amazing collection of older radios.  And I love the tube type radios, many were new when I was young, so they bring back memories for me.  Not that I owned all of them. (Grin). Here is a picture of me operating something called a desktop kilowatt.  The box to my right was a part of the transmitter to give you an idea of how big the older radios can get.  Might be why we call them Boat Anchors.

Enjoy the art with Ziva.

Until next week. Stay warm, dry, happy, and healthy. Please!
