Greetings,

Well, this is the week Colby and I released our first “Wide Open” episode. We still aren’t sure if people are enjoying it or not. This one is the intro and just two guys talking about what we went through when we started doing photography/art. I’d love for you to bring it up and spend 18 minutes checking it out. And let me know what you think.

Future episodes will have some interviews and a lot more of our art displayed and talked about. Remember to like, subscribe, and hit the bell so you know when the next one comes out!!

Wide Open with Dave and Colby

This week features Marcela. I’ve been in love with her look since our first shoot many years ago. She’s a sweet girl who never has a cross word for anyone. Very quiet but up for pretty much anything I can come up with. We’ve had some adventures for sure. Several times we took the whole day and it would involve gowns, then dirty locations, and then a balloon dress. I’d pack as much into any day I could spend shooting with Marcela as I could.

A few years back I had an amazing opportunity to visit and shoot in a studio unlike anything I expect to ever see again. It was huge and had every kind of lighting system you could think of. There were two cars parked in the studio and they were never in the way. And it was in Orlando, Florida. I didn’t know any models out there so I decided to take someone with me. I asked Marcela and off we went for 5 days of shooting. It was also her first time on an airplane. I love new experiences. We had a ball. Exhausted each day, but lots of shooting went on and future Museletter’s will have a lot of that in the gallery.

I’m sure you will agree, she’s a beauty to behold.

Not much else going on here at Bonita Creek. It’s quiet and we haven’t seen a soul for a month. Other than the people who put groceries in our trunk. It bothers me that I’m getting used to it. We did visit the Chandler house a couple days ago, mostly to pick up food and some items we wanted to bring up. As I walked around in the studio it seemed so long ago that it was bustling with people, music, and flashes popping off all the time. I’m looking forward to cranking it back up again.

The Omicron variant has already dropped to almost zero in South Africa where it started. And the doctors did say that something that contagious would spike fast, and drop just as fast since it would run out of people to infect. If that’s the case, it might actually be way, way down by mid March. Here’s hoping. Like I’ve said, Linda and I have had all of our shots but we have the option to just not participate in the pandemic, so, as long as we can, we are just staying away in our little apocalyptic bunker.

Oh, and yesterday we re-nested some of Bonita and took down our Christmas tree. One of the things we did was hook up an old Laser Disk player and it actually still works. That high quality we thought we had in those really sucks! But, we have a nice collection of movies, and we have been doing a lot more DVD watching than streaming lately. So, a new old movie a night has been the norm.

And we are well into the second (or is it the third?) week of our Keto lifestyle diet. We are enjoying the food, and how the house smells different every other day, and learning to read labels. We have some recipe books that are packed with some amazing meals. Last night it was pork ribs and a salad. Yummy.

Until next week. Stay warm, dry, happy, and healthy. Please!

Dave

Patreon for those who want daily brand new art.

And my Patreon site is doing well, even though the link last week was all wrong for it. It’s kinda’ cool, with three tiers to choose from.

For $5 a month you get a new edit each day, ofter more. Something no one has seen yet. Some may never make it to the public.

For $12 a month I’ll be posting a lot of behind the scenes stories, videos of BTS, and Zoom Q&A once a month.

And for $25 a month you get all of that AND every THREE MONTHS you’ll get a print of your choice mailed to you.

So check it out and support my efforts, and have some daily art.

Enough about me. Enjoy this months art and let me know what you think.

Until next week, enjoy!!! And stay safe.
