Greetings,

So, I’m typing this yesterday because I’m in California for a quick 2 day turn around trip. I visited some life long friends but mainly it was to help a friend bring home a 400 pound piece of radio equipment. A nice relaxing 8 hour drive. ;)

So, this week we have Ellie (not Elley THIS time) and several of the shots we created a few years back. I believe we shot together a couple times and really racked up some interesting and different sets. Enjoy!

And I couldn’t leave Elley out and the video is when she and Dan had taken me deep in the desert where they had found this old mining shack. I was kind of surprised at some of the detailed wood work in it. Obviously the miner who built it did some carpentry in their past. Or had a lady along who had some say in the matter.

Earlier this week I posted a picture of Alanna standing in the wheel house of a boat. A few minutes later, just before I got on the treadmill for 3 miles of walking I saw a notice pop up about a violation from Facebook. I didn’t read the whole thing but I just assumed I’d gotten my butt in FB jail again.

So I spent the hour walking and trying to guess if I’d gotten kicked off for a week or a month this time. I pretty much convinced myself that I’m getting tired of the whole social media game. I do enjoy posting because I’m a big show off at heart and I love people to see what I’ve created and share the beauty of the person I worked with.

Many of the people who sign up for online classes or 1 on 1 or even the group lighting classes typically learn about them on my FB or IG accounts. So that exposure is important. Many come from 500px.com where a million people see my images each month.

Then I finished my walk and checked my FB account. I liked one of Colby’s images and it let me. Hmmm. Maybe I’m not kicked off? I found the FB message and I guess I triggered something because I posted the same picture to my timeline and a couple groups. They thought I’might be a spammer. But no slap on the hand, so I guess I avoided the green jello for a while longer. But it did get me thinking.

You are reading this because you are a subscriber to my Museletter. The ONLY place I control everything about the art, quality of art, and no one can ban me or force their policies on me. This is the backup to everything else. If I vanish from FB and IG, this is always going to be here. Just so you know in advance. I do get some wonderful feedback (and I’m behind in answering, sorry) and I think you are enough to keep me happy if everything else goes away. Thank you!

So, tomorrow (that would be today) I have about 9 hours of driving or riding in the truck to get this monster radio back to Chandler. Then the next day back to Bonita. I miss Linda and it appears an element on my antenna came loose. Time to start cranking again to get that all fixed up. It is always something, right?

You all mean more to me than you will ever know.

Stay cool, happy, and healthy!

Dave
