Greetings!

Well, it’s May already. It’s almost time to head for the hills and enjoy the cooler altitudes. I must say, falling asleep in the upper deck swing with the cool evening breeze and the sound of crickets, owls, and the occasional lonely coyote is a true pleasure. It's the best part of summer. Hiking along the babbling creek in the afternoons is enjoyable, with the sound of the water and cooler air around the water.

It has been a busy week of editing with a couple of shoots mixed in. One little hiccup. The editing tablet I use, the 24” one that has a screen so I can edit right on the images, went a little crazy on me. It developed a nervous twitch in the pointer. You can imagine how frustrating that was when trying to edit anything on it? Looking back, I think I got it in 2017 or 2018 and have been using it every winter/fall season daily. So, it gave me some good years. But for a couple of days, I couldn’t edit, and that bothered me more than I’d like to admit. At least to my therapist.

So, of course, I found a replacement, and as expected, they have come a long way in 5 or 6 years. The new one feels more like I’m drawing on paper, and I can see where it won’t have as much wear on the screen over time. I'm back at it and loving the new pad. (XP-Pen 24” pro)

Over the next few weeks, I’ll work with some of my favorite models and a few neat locations. A horse ranch where I shot with Elley to get the trough images. This time, I’ll be creating something with Griffin. I’m guessing dressed in a cowboy hat and boots. And probably just those. (grin). In the same week, I’ll be shooting at an amazing D&D setup with three models, including Elley, Griffin, and Sara, the cosplayer. All three are amazing, so let’s see if I can capture some fun gaming looks.

I hadn’t thought about it, but being a photographer/artist has the advantage of having a lot of images to remind me of the wonderful people and times I’ve had doing this. I can sit and watch the screen saver, and each image brings up memories of that shoot. I think that’s also a good memory exercise for this old noodle.

Oh, and if you are a photographer looking to join us for the 5-hour session on May 11th at a fantastic location with an astonishing model for $300, there’s only one spot left out of the ten, so sign up before you can’t.

I have an amazing printer here, and the ink is going to go bad soon if I don’t use it. So, here’s the deal: Pick out FOUR images that you love, and I’ll print them on high-quality paper and send them to you for $150. I’ll even pay for postage!

Take some time to sit and enjoy art. It’s good for your soul.

And, if you are a photographer and want to attend our class, there are only TWO spots left. Check it out!!

I support an organization called Model Society. So many wonderful artists to inspire me. Check out their magazine!

And, we have a new photography class scheduled for May 11th!! It will be the third annual natural light class with Elley as the model. I’ll be adding a single light to the mix this year and Elley will have some new and unique outfits. Last year a good number of people who attended had come to the first one. They knew just how much fun it is. After five hours of shooting everyone was happy and exhausted.

Check it out!!
