Greetings,

Well, that week seems to have gone by fast. Remember when you were a teen, or even pre-teen, and you wanted time to go fast so you could be an adult. I’m convinced there is a hill that peaks at about 40. Slow going up that hill but once you are on the other side, time just starts flying by. Kinda’ sucks that life doesn’t have an odometer you can slip someone a hundred but to take it back 20 years.

Most of the week was taken up by taking pictures for the solar guy and doing research on our solar system. Yesterday I pulled the trigger and I’m excited to have the house running on renewable energy. And have a battery backup so we’ll always have power. I think it’s funning that everything about solar is about return on investment. Our bills up here are around $70. We are fairly conservative with power, so yeah, ROT on $20k isn’t going to happen in my lifetime. But if it buys humanity 2 more seconds at the end, I guess it’s worth it. I’m just a geek and love the idea. They install just before March. Hopefully of 2022. I was joking with some hams on the air the other night about returns on investment and we had to laugh at how much we’d spent on radios and computers and antennas and only get to talk with people all over the world, and close by friends as our return on investment. So there you go.

This week I did a lot of edits. Some more of Marsella, some of Elley, and another Ellie, and some of Liz. And a few of Lisa. Those who have followed me for years pretty much know who those people are. And one that will remain nameless and doesn’t show her face in the images. Her boyfriend once contacted me and instead of being polite about asking me to remove her pictures from social media, he threatened legal action in the second sentence. Some folks are adorable and some are ignorable.

Which brings me to why I don’t name models in the Museletter, and often in social media. I love all of them as friends, and I don’t think any have had any problems with the art we’ve created. As their lives move forward and they get new jobs, have kids, and in some cases don’t model any longer, I just don’t need to complicate their lives. If they are out looking for modeling gigs I’ll promote them. Otherwise, I can’t keep track. So, if you are one of those who knows a model and puts their name in a comment, don’t feel bad if that comment goes away. I delete those as fast as I delete those huge gaudy flashing GIFs people post in the comments. The comment isn’t supposed to be bigger than the art and distract the shit out of it. Am I a little ranty this week or what?

It seems like forever since I’ve had a shoot. But, batteries are charging and I’m getting things ready for this weekend. Kileen and her daughter/MUA are coming to Bonita for a couple days. I have all of my wings and a long list of ideas to try. They are both sweeties and it’ll be great fun. Maybe a nice dinner at Fargo’s after a long day of shooting.

On Monday Linda and I travel back to nest in Chandler for the winter pretty much. We kick that off with a week long trip to California to visit friends and my daughter and her family. And, of course, a trip to Disneyland. That’s going to feel strange, but my daughter is giving me 4 Churro coupons so life is grand!! When we get back we are hosting a traveling model so she has a place to stay and a studio to shoot in. That’s something new for me.

Then on the 20th of November, a month away, I’m doing a group class with 6 photographers and Elley as the model. It’s all about lighting and then some editing over Zoom. That should be great fun for all. And she’s going to book up the following day in the studio for 1on1 shoots with photographers. So if you don’t need a class, here’s your change to work with a real pro. And if you’d like to take the class, click the link.

Enjoy the art!

Until next week, enjoy!!! And stay safe.
