This week in the life…
Greetings all!
Last weekend I spent 4 days on the road, so the gallery is fewer than usual. BUT, the amount of great shots I’ve gotten the last two weekends will make future Museletters wonderfully full of new work.
I drove to Skull Valley and shot on a horse ranch that was massive and in about 7 hours we got a LOT of different looks. Everything from hammering a horse shoe into shape at a forge to Elley bathing in a horse trough as the horse is drinking. That last one has been a buck list item for a while and I’m sure it will get edited for next week’s issue.
After a morning of shooting at the ranch, we then went sneaking off down an amazing wash to shoot in some wonderfully huge boulders.
Then the next day we went cruising in the wilderness near Baghdad, Arizona and went to an old cabin Elley and Dan had found a few months ago. I made her promise to take me there to shoot her, and true to her word, we did exactly that. There will be a TON of interesting edits that come from that day too.
A lot of the images this week are either before and after-ish shots or examples of the lighting used.
All toll I shot more than 1400 images those two days. And drove a total of 8 hours round trip. Worth every inch.
So now the calendar is clear. Nothing scheduled for a while, I expect until next year. Just too many things going on in the world, so Linda and I will be hiding up here at Bonita just enjoying life and trying to ignore what goes on outside our little world. That’s pretty easy really.
