This week in the life…

Greetings!

Hey everyone! I hope you are all safe and sound with plenty of food, toilet paper, and something to keep your mind healthy and active. We have a few more weeks to go…seems like forever already, just a little longer.

Linda and I watched a series on Amazon called ‘Tales from the Loop”. It is very slow moving but I really enjoyed the whole concept. It was really well done. If you ever saw the series “Eureka” it’s a little like that, except it’s in the 50’s and 60’s with wall phones and record players. You can show your kids life without cell phones.

I’m in a group on FB that is for photographers to hone their skills. The guy who runs the group (Kelly) tossed a few of his un-retouched images out for us to edit for fun. He’s a wonderful photographer so I grabbed a couple and edited them. For fun I put the before and after in the gallery and I expect y’all can tell which ones weren’t shot by me. Shooting styles are half the art. And those are certainly back east trees.

My artist friend, Colby, has been doing what I’ve been doing. Going back over old shoots and editing new images. That way we stay busy and those brave souls who have worked with us actually get new shots. Funny, he said today he finally got through the A’s. I’m not that organized. I’ve been to the A’s, W’s, Z’s, off to the H’s, and then over to the E’s.

The other day I heard something on my ham radio that shows the interesting time we are in and us humans finding ways around the problem. A ham had died and, of course, they couldn’t have a funeral. So, they got his wife on the phone and told her how to turn on his old station so she could listed to the group of guys who had been his friend for decades. Other hams of course. They patched her in so she could say a few words about her husband to the group. Then she sat back at his old station and listened as these guys told story after store about their friendship with the man. I’m sure it brought her to tears. And probably some laughs too.

I’m going to be making a video this week (I plan anyhow) showing a full edit of an image and I’m going to put it on Youtube. So any of you who are curious to see the transformation happen can sit back and watch it in real time. I’ll try to pick out something fun.

Meanwhile, stay busy and learn something new each day. Take a walk each day, or evening. We are all on this blue marble together. Be kind and pay it forward.

Be safe and wash your hands!
