Greetings,

I hope you all are happy and healthy. And staying cool this summer.

Here at Bonita we are back to having days with windows open day and night. And for the last week or so we’ve had thunder boomers coming through almost every night. Cool breezes and plenty of wild life. It’s about time I have some ‘wild life’ in my life. I was never a partier, but I’m pretty sure this wild life is better, at least in the fact that you don’t get thrown up on by a friend after a night of parties. Did that digress like a falling rock or what?!?

I’ve been spending the week getting ready for the next two weekends of shoot activity up here. Friday I pick up a student from the airport and Ziva to bring them up to Bonita for a class. We’ll be joined by Nikki and her husband so we’ll have 2 models for 2 days. That’ll be fun.

The next weekend we have Kileen visiting from New Mexico and Colby will be joining us up here for a weekend shoot. I have no idea how many naps I’m going to have to have to pay my body back for all this activity, but I’m sure paid it will be.

Then that’s it for a while up here. We head to the valley the 7th to do a family shoot for my own family, and some other things that old farts tend to have to do.

So, this week almost all of the images are new. I had a few long editing sessions where I just found one after another and edited them into what you see. In a couple cases I put the before and after. Those are always fun. And there is a good mix of young ladies to keep it interesting.

I have very few shoots lined up for the coming months. But I certainly have plenty of great past shoots to draw from to create more art.

I was playing with one of my ham radios the other day, dinking with the power settings and such, and I hear a pop and it goes dead. Oh crap. So I look around and see most of the power is off in the room. So I go down and, flashlight in hand, I check all the breakers. Alas, they all seemed fine. I went out to check the main breaker and it was fine. Then I noticed the ‘whole house sure suppressor’ light was off. Hmmmm. That’s when Linda told me APS had sent a message that Payson, Pine, Strawberry, and all of us little communities had lost power. Part of me is relieved. Part of me hoped it wasn’t my tinkering that caused it. Probably not. Yeah, probably not.

Until next week, be safe, happy, cool, and hydrated.

Dave
