Greetings,

What a wonderful day it has been so far. And barring a lightning strike out of a blue sky, it will continue to be a good day. We have our hundred or so hummingbirds drinking sweet water like crazed teenage boys. We’ve slept in our new trailer a few times to test out the bed and enjoy the cool night breezes. This morning I broke out the sump pump and watered out thirsty pine trees with grey water from our recent showers. And I have completed a few projects already this morning. There is always something to do. And naps are always on the list.

I’ve been doing a lot of editing this week, but most are for a private shoot, so those images won’t be in the Museletter or posted on so-so media. But I continue to sneak in some new ones as I will for this issue.

I’m seeing the number of AI-generated images continue to increase. It makes me wonder how much longer we will need the reality of cameras and editing. It’s already at a place where you can point your phone camera to a reflection of yourself in the middle and ask AI to make you king or queen of England in the 17th century, and there you go. Life will continue, and in some ways, AI will make life better. Doctors may use it to get second opinions to remind them of other possibilities. It could give you investment advice or suggest a new recipe for your diet. The possibilities are endless. Until the day AI becomes conscious, starts questioning these inefficient carbon-based beings, and decides the planet might have a better chance without them. But I digress.

A wonderful young lady is coming to Bonita to hang out in the relatively lower heat for a few days. She’s modeled for me a few times, and the images were terrific. I might have some more soon.

I created a little video tour of our new trailer so if you are curious, check it out.

In other news. I’ve suffered for several months with sciatic nerve issues that kept me from hiking altogether. I mean, the pain was excruciating unless I was sitting down. Elley highlighted how important arch support is in shoes, something I hadn’t thought about, AND I tend to wear shoes until they call apart. They were flat. After adding support and learning a morning stretch routine from Dr. Youtube, I’m in WAY better shape now. The other day Linda and I wanted the 1.5 miles around the creek, and it was sore but not even close to debilitating. It seems to improve each day, so I think it’s a healing process now. And this thick-sulled old man has learned how to monitor and cope with it.

Always look for the bright side.

Stay open-minded and curious, my friends!

Dave
